Pilat Fest: Creating the Website for a Festival in the Heart of the Pilat

I designed and developed the Pilat Fest website, a pop and electronic music festival held in Les Haies, in the heart of the Pilat massif.

This project holds a special place in my journey as a web developer. My involvement was not limited to its technical development: I am also a co-founder, president and co-general coordinator of Pilat Fest.

Building the online presence of a new festival
For its inaugural edition, Pilat Fest needed a platform capable of showcasing its identity, line-up and commitments. The goal was to create far more than a simple showcase website. It needed to become the festival’s central digital hub for future festivalgoers, artists, volunteers and partners alike.

Visitors can discover the line-up, view the artist pages, buy tickets and plan their visit. They can also find information about access, parking, accommodation, cashless payments, accessibility and the Pilat Fest Village.

Another collaboration with Adam Falconieri
As with many of my projects, I worked closely with Adam Falconieri. His creative vision and graphic design expertise complemented my technical approach, allowing us to create an experience that reflects the festival’s identity. Together, we worked to translate its energy, musical universe, local roots and social commitment into a digital experience. On my side, I handled the technical design, development, integration of the various services and ongoing evolution of the website. This complementary partnership, strengthened through our many collaborations, enabled us to create a website that is immersive, functional and faithful to the Pilat Fest universe.

An event website designed to evolve
One of the main challenges was to create a website capable of evolving alongside the festival’s organisation. The platform initially introduced the project and helped increase its visibility. It then supported the gradual announcement of the line-up, the launch of ticket sales, volunteer recruitment and the arrival of the festival’s various partners. Each artist also has a dedicated page presenting their universe, performance date and related content.

The website was designed to provide simple and fast navigation on mobile devices. Before and during an event, a smartphone naturally becomes the main way to check the line-up or quickly find practical information.
My dual role in Pilat Fest
My involvement extended far beyond the development of the website. As a co-founder and president of the association, I helped define the festival’s vision, line-up and overall development. This dual responsibility allowed me to design the website as a practical tool serving the organisation. Every page and feature addresses a specific need encountered by the team, partners or festivalgoers. On the digital side, I worked on the website’s architecture, user journeys, interface development, ticketing integration, content management and the ongoing evolution of the platform.

An inaugural edition brought to life
On 24 and 25 July 2026, Pilat Fest welcomed 2,300 festivalgoers and 11 artists, supported by more than 160 volunteers and numerous local and regional partners. The website supported the project from its earliest announcements through to welcoming the public. It helped centralise essential information and progressively build the festival’s online presence.
Pilat Fest therefore represents far more than a web project. It brings together several fields that I am passionate about: web development, music, entrepreneurship, events and community involvement.

This project once again illustrates how Adam Falconieri’s work and mine complement each other: combining creativity, user experience and technical development to transform an ambitious idea into a tangible experience.
